Forget the cookie cutter bride... carved right out of a run of the mill magazine. The bride of 2019 showcases her unique style & personality in creative ways!
Consider these simple upgrades to truly tell a story at your wedding; a story of love, coming together and unique surprises your guests will adore.
1. Caged Veil or Blusher:
A sophisticated tradition, however, designers are getting unique in their use of texture and embellishments. There’s no such thing as a one size fits all caged veil; from highly textured tulles, luxurious headband embellishments, like feathers, crystals and custom florals; purchasing a caged veil from a designer in 2019, offers many many options.
Or consider this, get creative! Purchase a run of the mill caged veil and spice it up to fit your personality. Call on local jewelers, florists, artisans, creative peeps you love...even your kids- or take on this fun creative challenge yourself. The point is embellish the caged veil in a way that reflects who you are!
2. Place Cards as Party Favors :
If assigned seating is something you’ve been considering... and you are going to spend money on party favor anyways, why not combine the two? Utilize a local custom design business such as Blissful Calligraphy (owned by Leslie Langer). Leslie offers many solutions when it comes to combining favors and place settings. All of Leslie’s gorgeous geometric pieces can easily be repurposed. A gift and a seat... yes please! See Leslie's unique pieces below.
Add texture in unexpected ways! I love attending weddings and trying to find that one special thing the happy couple designed to truly showcases their style. Sometimes it’s simple, like a highly textured fabric bow tie. Or dramatic like a replica Viking longhouse with fireplaces and furs everywhere...
Whatever it may be for you, create texture to draw interest. Surprise and delight your guests with unconventional decor, attire or swag. I love cheap little faux fur rugs, layer them dramatically at an entry way; custom cocktails are great - garnish them extravagantly. Check out your local artisans and Etsy (my fave for unique ideas) and don’t be afraid to ask for a customized piece from someone whose concepts you admire!!
